Groveton ISD Parents/Guardians,
Groveton Independent School District announces that during the 2021-2022 school year, healthy meals will be offered every school day to all students at no cost. Typically, a student’s household must meet income eligibility requirements to qualify for free or reduced-price meals. However, the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) along with the Texas Agricultural Agency (TDA) issued guidance that allows schools to offer meals to all students at no cost for the 2021-2022 school year.
The District is required to collect and report the socioeconomic status of each student to the Texas Education Agency (TEA) for purposes of the annual accountability ratings and for federal funds. The monies received from the federal government is what funds many of the special programs and valuable resources in our schools such as Title I and other federal mandates; therefore, it is essential that a completed form be received for each student as soon as possible.
Parents/Guardians, please fill out the Groveton ISD 2021-2022 Socioeconomic Information Form using the paper form that was sent home with your student or online. The ONLINE option is available now using the following button/link: https://forms.gle/QVnmkgY41HFNBd69A
Submitting the online form is secure, quick, and easy with information going directly to the Assistant Superintendent's office. Please be sure to submit a separate form for each child you have enrolled in Groveton ISD.
If you prefer to submit a paper form for each child, English and Spanish forms can be obtained from and/or returned to any GISD campus or by visiting the GISD Administration office.
